should the one cent coin be discontinued?

there is a great amount of talk and debate that the one cent coin is no longer needed for commerce and is another american institution which has outlived its usefulness.

perhaps, some people find it an offensive coin because they do have a tendency to clog our pockets at times and when all is said and done they have no purchasing power left.

it is for the following reason i am offering readers of this site a once and a lifetime opportunity to show just how important those one cent coins are.
