A Coin Bucket List

I do not know if I ever shared on this blog one of my bucket wishes is to photograph as many state quarter scenes in person as possible and create a photo album of them. Already ,I have about ten or so of them and while traveling I have been obsessed with capturing some of them.
The first one ,which comes to mind, was Chimney Rock in Nebraska. We traveled a half day in some obscure part of Nebraska to see it and out of nowhere it appeared on the horizon. It was just amazing and well worth the trip.
Another great landmark was in Utah when we got to see the east and west trains meeting up . They have replicas of them and actually create history by running them as though they were meeting for the first time.
Some landmarks like The Old Man On The Mountain in New Hampshire are already gone and will live on forever on their state quarter.
I will keep you abreast of other states I have visited in future posts and only hope the readers of this blog can share some of their favorite stories as well.

What To Watch For

It is my suggestion that the readers of this blog start putting aside the bicentennial quarters when they see them in circulation or perhaps purchase a couple of rolls when they see them at flea markets or coin shows.
A large web based coin company has started selling them recently and I believe sold them out.
It is already thirty five years since they were released and are a tribute to the history of the United States.

A New Presidential Dollar Is Relesed For 2011

Another issue for 2011 is the Andrew Johnson presidential dollar coin which was just released.
You can check at your bank or call the mint , at 1800 the mint to obtain a roll or two.
These coins will be necessary in the future to complete the series and because of their anticipated low mintage after Lincoln could be sought after by future collectors.

A New America The Beautiful Quarter Is Released

The Gettysburg America The Beautiful quarter is the first issue of the new program for 2011.It has been released and you can expect another low mintage.
You can purchase them from the U. S. mint or from some coin dealers.
As always , I am a big advocate to obtain a few rolls because of their historical significance and their collectability down the road.

A Litmus Test For Entrepreneurs

While at the conference for entrepreneurs I was talking to a very successful woman from Indiana and she was telling me about her success with her product and how it started taking off in stores. Needless to say I was very impressed with her accomplishments and wished her well. However,as is the case of our group ,she mentioned how her mother still reads the classified section for her and brings her job information to check out.

Some people just don't understand that if you are an entrepreneur the last thing in this world is to work for someone and give them our expertise.
