Roman Coins

At a local fair a person mentioned that they had a coin from roman times and was wondering if it was very valuable. i replied that it was probably an historic coin but most had little value because they find those coins by the thousands when they excavate.
this type of conversation is very common and brings me to the point of this blog. a coin receives most of its value by the amount of its mintage.not by its age.
naturally, once this is determined then the condition determines more of its value as well.
in the following weeks this site will show the reader some of the factors in coin grading so check back often and join in the conversation.
